Seaview Caravan club site, Cromer, Norfolk

The site in Cromer is Seacroft, we spent Christmas and New Year there and loved every minute of it, a fabulous site. There are two pitching areas with hardstandings around the outside and grass in the centre. Some of hardstandings are seperated by hedges. You may need levelling blocks for...

Will high fuel prices lead to site closures.

Not changing any plans due to fuel prices, we hope to go more often. I am in the fortunate position that I dont need my car to get to work, I cycle, so the fuel cost will not affect me as much. The only thing we are changing is using CL's during peak times. For Easter through to May day we...

    Norfolk

Agree with all of the above. We go to Norfolk mutiple times each year and love it. Usually stay on Broadlands CC site between Wroxham and Potter Heigham. This year due to cost we are staying on CL's. The Broads are great, but you need to hire a boat or take a boat trip to see the best of...

    Sites Near Cromer

If you want a site near Cromer it has to be Seacroft CC site. Stayed there a couple of weeks ago and loved it. 15 min walk into Cromer, bar and restuarant on site, food is excellent. A bit further along is Incleboro Fields CC site, also very nice but no club house or bar.

    CARAVAN CLUB CHARGES FOR 2011

Yes the price rises raised an eybrow, but to be honest I was expecting it with the hike in VAT and ever increasing energy costs. As far as I am aware the sites network does not make a huge profit, so if thats the cost to have quality sites and facilities then so be it. I also agree with the...

Treamble valley caravan club site , nr perranporth, cornwall

It has been about 8 years since we were at Treamble Valley. From what I remember it is quite a large site that slopes although I think the pitches were reasonably level. There is a very large dog walk. Facilities are up to usual CC standard. The approach road is rather narrow single track...

    xmas touring

We have not been away at Christmas as yet, planning on doing that next year. We have been away for new year every year since we started caravanning 10 years ago. This year we are off the Bearsted CC site from the 27th Dec to the 2nd Jan.

    Your total honesty please?!

Never yet kerbed the caravan tyre. Been towing a caravan for the past 10 years, but have been towing large agricultural equipment and trailers for the last 27 years. As for seeing other people do it, we used to be on the CC volunteering scheme at a site in Norfolk. The arrivals lane goes...

    Status 530 Aerial fault

Had a problem with our booster recently. We now always use satalite but had to resort to the status 530 recently when I was unable to get a signal on the dish. I too found the red light was not on. Checked power to the booster that was fine. Dealer replaced the booster free of charge, the...

Whats wrong with 1% of Wardens

Dont know if it is the same site but we were booked onto a CC site in Norfolk for the Witsun weekend. On the friday I phoned the site to ask if we could arrive before 12. Last year the warden had said come as early as you like. Obviously different wardens this year as my question was met with...

    Rockley Park, Poole

Hi Jemma, it has been 12 years since we were at Rockley Park. This is before we started out with a touring caravan, we stayed in a static caravan there. I'm not a great fan of these all singing and all dancing commercial sites. When we were there the facilities seemed a bit tired, so if they...

    Pulling away - 2 or 4 wheel drive ?

George if your Sportage will tow your van in 6th gear without struggling then use it. You may find you will need to drop a gear or two for hills but on the straight and level use the highest gear you can. As for pulling away you only need 4WD if the ground is slippery and you get wheelspin. I...

    Steering wheel turning knob

I really can not see the benefit of these in normal day to day driving, unless the driver has a disabillity and they help. I drive large agricultural tractors and never use a steering wheel knob even if fitted. The only exception is if I'm using a loader tractor which requires alot of steering...

    Littlehampton CC Site

Has anyone been to Littlehampton CC site since the CC took over the site. What is it like? What is the area like? Are there any nice walks in the area? Thanks.

Worse than expected economy when towing.

My Freelander TD4 used to return 37mpg solo and 27mpg towing on motorway in good conditions. But on a tow to Black Horse Farm CC site in Kent a few years back I only got low 20s due to quite a brisk headwind. It does depend a lot on type of road, hills, and wind speed and direction.
