    SPRING ASSISTERS

Grayston are a British company and MAD are Dutch is that sways your decision. Grayston progressive springs are different to spring assisters. The prog springs are extra springs that are used in tandem with the vehicles own springs. The spring assisters are like rubber donuts that fit in...

    Alco wheel lock.

The concern I have with jacking up the van to align the wheel is that you have to take the brake off and with the 'van perched on it's side one day I am sure that it will roll forward/backwards. Yes you can chock the other wheel but the concern still worries me.

    Volvo XC90 - any good?

Never driven one before but I have heard that you get a lot of car for the money and is on par with the Mercedes, BMW's etc of this world. The Geartronic is supposed to be very good.

    Blinds and travelling

When I did a CC towing course the advice was to keep blinds and curtains open so that 1) you got vision through the back of your caravan when driving (depends on the type of car and 'van you have) & 2) so other drivers get vision through the 'van which could help them to spot other vehicles...

    Ultra Seal Tyre Puncture Prevention

Tyre fitters don't mind working on tyres with Ultraseal in them - as long as you tell them before hand that Ultraseal is in there. All they do it carefully let the air out of the tyre. If they are going to repair a puncture then they will wash out the Ultraseal, leave the tyre to dry before...

    Ultra Seal Tyre Puncture Prevention

Damian is right unless you use your 'van often. Anything that stays stationary for periods of time then you will find that you may have problems with the Ultraseal. It is OK in cars, Police motorcycles etc as they generally get used. Apart from that it is good stuff.

    Sites around Dartmouth in Devon

I went to The Caravan Club's Hillhead site last year for my 2 weeks holiday. Mainly a family site but it was pretty quiet on the pitch that I had. I would go back again as it was really nice.

    Toilet emptying door inside awning

My thoughts are that when filling the toilet flushes and fluids that you get the initial aroma that may stay in the awning. Also the potential that you could spill the fluids with results of staining the ground sheet and again the smell. I have never used a van with the toilet access door on...
