Park by pitch, engage Reich mover, position and reverse onto ramp with spirit level in caravan, when how we want it, wife puts chocks under one wheel while I do the other one, then level front to back with jockey wheel.
Works for us!
Hi Alan
we previously had the Sunncamp Plus, but wanted more space, plus I was always wary of the horizontal pole marking the caravan, even with rubber suckers.
We were lucky enough to find a Spacelite still in stock and have now used it 3 times for weekends. It is quick to put up - without...

no experience. I did consider buying one, but was talked out of it by our caravan dealer! Main issue was that you need to pitch in direct line to receive a signal, wheras with portable dish, you have the flexibility to move it around on your pitch.

I think there are two types of Reich - we have the 'comfort' model which you engage onto the wheels from either side by using your steady winder or a powerful cordless drill. The other is engaged separately from each side by moving a catch. You also have to switch on the 'van electric on...

I was ordering the 390 from awnings.co.uk and he asked if the rail was level or whether it started to slope down. Fot it to fit on our Pageant Burgundy Series 5, the first foot above the door slopes slightly. He wouldn't sell it to me saying it had to be perfectly level. Good customer...
Hi
sat down this morning trying to ring around for one in stock - most sold out with waiting until MAY! Managed to get one from Homestead Caravans and should have it in 48 hours. Will try it our next weekend up near Glossop!
Cheers

Our dealer showed us how to hitch up when we started. If you hold both plugs, then twist them a couple of times, this has the effect of shortening the cables. If you have an Alko stabiliser, you can thread both plugs through the handle before you put it in the closed position.
I can recommend the CL at Barbeth Farm mentioned by Maureen. We stayed overnight on our way further north, and also as I had a meeting in Glasgow on the way.
Its in the countryside, so quiet on a farm, peaceful country lane to walk down yet only 5-10 minutes drive from the Cumbernauld railway...
