I’ve managed to get the lip seal out so I can see better, but can’t work out where the blade should sit

I’ve been gifted a Porta Potti 165. The blade won’t close and seems to flapping around inside the waste tank. I can’t work out how to fix it. Any ideas I’ve added a photo (the outside is just mud, not sure about the inside But can’t be bothered to clean it if it’s no good.
