Don, I don't have to 'get under' the caravan to use the jack, my little bracket is on the outside of the chassis side member and in use the jack is outboard of that. Only a hand has to go under the van and if the corner steadies are lowered as a precaution it cannot fall far enough to trap just...

I am interested in Joyce's comment that the car's jack is not suitable for lifting the caravan as this is what I use. All that is required is a small bracket which mimmics the jacking point of the car fixed to the chassis on each side near to the wheel. This jack is capable of lifting one side...

Our cover is now in it's fifth winter. The first winter we covered the windows with cling film as advised but have not bothered since and have had no ill effects. Hedgerows and trees do more damage to windows than the coverdoes.

Why not just use the caravan socket at the back all you will need is a 7 pin plug. I used to use this method to charge my car battery successfully some years ago. Just connect to the live +12 volt and earth pins

Surely it would be better to paint the markings on as any thief could easily peel off the stick on ones.

I assume you are aware that Towsure give discount to CC & CCC members. At least they did when I bought my Wastemaster earlier this year but I can't remember whether it is 5% or 10%.
