Discussing taking pets abroad with a vet he mentioned possible problems with the animal not being used to the higher temperatures and humidity encountered. He made the point that it is easy enough to warm a cold animal but harder to cool a hot one. Perhaps your vet could advise.

This would also take in vehicles registered outside this country but using our roads. And if you then add a few pence to the price of fuel for basic third party insurance it would mean that if you are moving you are insured. Then, as now, you could top up insurance privately to cover fire...

Don't forget to factor in the time difference when calculating driving time. Also you can arrive in France at a certain time but still lose anything up to an hour clearing the ship and the docks.

We visited Trier whilst staying at Camping Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg, which is 2 1/2 miles south of Luxembourg city, a nice bus ride for a day out. Have a look at www.camp-kockelscheuer.lu - the animated frog is good value if nothing else. They gave us a discount on the site fee on production...

This does not answer any of your questions but is a problem I encountered. Check that your wheel clamp will fit between the tyre and the mover roller. I had to hurtle out and purchase a new one to stay within the requirements of my insurers.
