2010 Swift Charisma Shower Lightbulb replacement

I need to check the connection for the shower spotlight (built into sealed shower unit). Either there is a loose connection or the bulb needs replacement. There are 3 screws which come off releasing a piece of glass and I'm left with a unit which has slight clockwise and anti clockwise movement...

    New Tow Car Advice

Thanks Lutz, The electrics on the car are twin not 13 pin. I think the tow bar is bolt on rather than swan neck.

    New Tow Car Advice

Will shortly be picking up new (to me) tow car. (Seat Alhambra). It has tow bar fitted with twin electrics. Should I get local tow bar fitters to check electrics prior to hitching up to van in case electrics are wired for pre 2008 van (mine is 2010 Charisma)? (Don't want to blow anything on...

    For Goodness Sake Slow Down!

Just been on a caravan club site in North Yorkshire. The site speed, as with all other CC sites was 5 mph. It amazed me how many members were clearly exempt from this limit and therefore able to exceed it. You are supposed to be on holiday, so what's the rush? I tend to notice it more as I'm...

    Transporting Gas Bottles

Thanks everybody. I'm aiming for 85kg, there isn't currently a lot in the van - we don't tend to use the awning much so don't carry it and we have three light reclining chairs under the bed, behind the axle. The miro is 1283kg and MTPLM 1495kg (Swift Charisma). Wheel is underslung and we have...

    how do i measure noseweight

Thanks John L. My assumption re the other scales accuracy is based on SWMBO going to Weight Watchers each week and measuring same as at home!!! Will leave gas in situ and put more items under fixed bed behind axle.

    Transporting Gas Bottles

Having measured my noseweight and concluded that I cannot carry gas bottles in the front locker, what do I do with them? I can lose one as we don't use that much gas, but is there a way of securing the other bottle inside the van? I'd rather not have it in the car.

    how do i measure noseweight

Off I went to storage tonight, armed with the wealth of info this thread has provided. I previously used the pogo stick thing but have now "upgraded" to the argos bathroom scales. I never was too keen on that setup as I always had visions of the stick moving and the van falling on its nose...

Trevor - just a thought. I think the picture shows an av in on the side - could you get a scart to av cable (red/white/yellow) and plug in that way from the sky box? Rgds Ian
