    I used to use a tomtom, but now it's all about google maps on the smartphone, accurate and uptodate maps, plus I love the fact I hardly ever need a postcode anymore. with google maps you just type the place e.g. alton towers...and it finds pretty much any destination, Using it drains battery...

    Yes, you are both right. The additional noseweight is a problem and it kind of undermines the maxxraxx's biggest sell point which is towing and carrying at the same time. ok for lightweight trailers maybe, but probably not the best option for caravan

    Just a note on this: if your caravan is Alko, then the swan neck is not your only option. You can often save money by opting for a flange (2-bolt) fixing towbar but with an alko-compatible (long reach) towball.
