    Engine oil VW Toran

    Thanks guys, Been to the local Halfords, It did not even list the Touran and the highest spes was Castrol Edge which is 505.01. and therefor no good for the long service intervals ( up to 20,000miles) 505.01 is ok if you have shorter service intervals. Will look at the others mentioned. ttfn

    Emmerson, Know the type but beware of the compression on the window seals. Had one for years and not aware of any problem myself but have heard of others were the seal was so distorted that it was blamed for damp in that area. ttfn

    I have to use VW 506.01 engine oil for the above car which is quite dificult to obtain in the UK without paying VW prices. Anyone know of brand names that are available and is it more readly available in France. ttfn
