    What's happening at P&O

Has anyone experienced - first hand - the P&O crossing from Dover to Calais since this crisis started? P&O are saying that we should turn up at the normal time and they will get us away using other ferry operators. How is this working in practice? Are there long delays at Dover ferryport? I'm...

    Lunar Caravans.....In Administration

I'm fascinated by the fact that the preponderance of postings seem to relate to warranty claims or the fear of such claims. It's as if everyone buying a Lunar expects to make a warranty claim . I know that there is a widespread dissatisfaction with UK built vans but is it really that bad? Are...

    Waterproof solar panels.

Yes - I read about the need for a regulator. Thanks for raising the point.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a waterproof, portable solar panel of around 100W? Thanks

    Motor mover - manaul overide

Thanks for the replies/help. The mover is a Powrtouch Model3 Heavy duty. Fitted 2009. Can't see an hexagonal head protruding from the casing. I have the original handbook but it doesn't explain how to disengage the rollers if they fail in the 'On' position. I'll try googling it as suggested.

    Motor mover - manaul overide

I have a very reliable (until now) mover fitted to my 2008 Swift. Just lately, the remote has misbehaved intermittently. Each time I have been able to overcome the problem by simply switching it on/off. I've ordered an emergency cable to deal with that if it recurs But what would I do if...

    12V Tyre inflators

Can anyone recommend a 12V pump that doesn't give up the ghost after a few uses? I'm fed up with constantly replacing mine. Or have I just been unlucky?

I've had a dream - Utopia is somewhere in Scotland

I hope you're wrong, Thingy! Where's your sense of romance?? Surely Utopia exists somewhere?

I've had a dream - Utopia is somewhere in Scotland

Thanks. No, I'm avoiding that route because of suspected crowding.

I've had a dream - Utopia is somewhere in Scotland

The site nestles in a valley between the mountains on three sides and the shore of a sea loch on the fourth. Warmed by the Gulf Stream to provide an almost sub tropical micro climate, it only ever rains at night and most days are caressed by gentle sunlight. By day - especially at dawn -...

    Red Pennant insurance - caution

Yes - repatriation costs can be a worry, but when you stop to think about it, how many cases do you personally know of where that's been needed. And why don't insurers offer cover for repatriation costs only? I suspect that there are many aged caravanners like me who are prepared to accept...

    Red Pennant insurance - caution

I'm approaching 80 and have been travelling all over Europe for very many years. I've always relied solely on my EHC and never paid for medical expenses insurance. On the very few occasions when I've needed medical attention, I have to say - reluctantly - that the experience has been so much...
