    You are 100% correct the difference between different manufactures PHEV is amazing when we change fro the 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 to the Suzuki Across we had to learn again. The Suzuki Across/Toyota RAV4 PHEV is so much more advanced.

    I always allow the battey to deplete down to 50/60% in EV mode, then switch to hybrid mode, the regenerative system runs more efficiently.

    Been looking at the Polestar EV site, I can purchase a Polestar 2 less than 26,000 miles with Polestar 2 year warranty for less than £20,000. My current lease is costing me approximately £20,000 and I will have nothing to show for it but an empty parking space. :)

    There is some seriously affordable secondhand EV coming on the market, we have noticed several specialist EV only garages in our area, we lease a PHEV, we are seriously considering buying a decent used EV we only cover 7500 miles maximum a year, over 36 months our PHEV lease works out £19,167...

    Our local Tesco is 9 pence a litre dearer that the Tesco 6 miles down the road, we use the Tesco 6 miles down the road.

    Towing with our PHEV the break even point is around 45 pence @ kWh, occasionally I recharge up using 44 pence @ kWh Podpoints to keep the wife happy, on holiday solo it is cheaper to use petrol, towing very little difference between E10 petrol or Podpoint 44 pence kWh, Caravan Club £7.00 a day...

    Starting with a full battery in late September we see around 36mpg towing 175 miles returning home with a depleted battery 29.84mpg measure fill to fill.

    We tow with a PHEV, we have considered a full EV especially as range seems to be increasing, as I am on a mobility walker unhitching the caravan would be a no. We have considered changing the way we caravan, we like going to the New Forest, instead of towing in one hit we could break the journey...

    We switch back from Octopus Tracker for gas 8th February when gas reached 6.657 p kWh, now paying 5.804 pence kWh, come end of April this month our gas usage should significant drop, fortunately a small potion of electric export subsidises our gas usage.

    The gas no penalty, electric £25, we charge up the PHEV car and batteries at night for 8.5 pence @ kWh day rate is standard price, on the plus side export tariff 15 pence @kWh for the next 12 months.
