We did the same a few weeks ago Paul, arriving at Ouistreham off the evening boat we decided to drive past the belle rive and stayed on the Aire de Service Argentan, which we would recommend.

    Hymer Nova GL 470 review

" I can't quote the statistics, but I have witnessed one Hymer that was basically scrapped becasue 75% of the floor was rotten, with much of the exterior walls and the furniture and fittings in contact with the floor were also badly affected. " Had it been in a flood Prof ?

    Wheelclamp disaster

Hi FM, I've used the Milenco mega clamp on many 'vans. So good we even welded extensions to the flats to suit the wide 15" wheels on our new Hymer. I'd def' replace with same.

Time taken to steal a caravan

I'd suggest they'll take anything, noting some big twin axles on certain illegal sites there will be at least one of Uk make, these are " sheds " the inside is ripped out and fitted with a domestic stainless sink, a domestic oven/hob ( washroom and cookhouse ) saves using their own.

    Thule Omnistor

Hi JanBn, We had an Omnistor fixed to the roof of our 2008 Ausi spec Geist caravan, a very good piece of kit. Ideal for the summer months and so easy to use, though would advise peg down the feet at all times and possibly utilise a storm strap ( they are very light and do not like wind )...

Is there a stigma surrounding a Hobby

Having owned 5 T.E.C - 1 Geist - 3 Hymer, there seems to me to be a stigma against most German 'vans. Are there many UK manufactured caravans in Europe, no. Is there a stigma against V.A.G, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche cars, no ?? I'm sure if I wished to own a Hobby caravan, I'd buy one. Happy...
