    Replacement tow car

Looking to replace my lovely Volvo XC90 to tow the Unicorn Pamplona. Short list is another XC90, Jaguar F Pace or Volvo XC60. All would be about 3 years old, diesel and automatic. Has anyone got experience with owning and towing with any of these? Thanks for your help.

Your cars in the 60's and 70's?

I think that's an E93A Popular, the Anglia looked similar and you are correct, the Prefect had 4 doors and (pre 100E) was a different shape.

Your cars in the 60's and 70's?

1st car was a Ford Prefect 107E (558 AXP) then a Ford Corsair 2000E (RYP 480E) then a Ford Cortina 1600E (CYX 419H). I could carry on but OH will think I'm sad for remembering not only the cars but the reg numbers as well!!

90 Day in 180 days limit on travel in EU

Don't quite understand the 2 x 6 days in France and 85 in Spain. This will not be allowed. The 90 days starts from the date you land in the first country - in your case France. Therefore, in theory, the authorities only have to look at the date you arrived and work out how long you've been...

    Registering Caravan in Spain

Hi Juanjo, if your car is UK registered then the 'van doesn't need to be registered in Spain. On another point, would it be in secure storage?

    Registering Caravan in Spain

Ah, sounds like the CNIT certificate is the one to use even though its in French, It has all the relevant details.

    Registering Caravan in Spain

Thanks again Lutz. The C of C issued by Bailey is not accepted in France - don't know why. They insist on a CNIT certificate which is issued by Bailey and other manufacturers and makes registration as easy as falling off a croisant! However if the normal CofC is acceptable in Spain then...

    Registering Caravan in Spain

Thanks very much for your reply Lutz. Next question. In France it's easy to register a recent UK caravan using the CNIT certificate which the manufacturer supplies. Can this be used in Spain or is there something similar.?

    Registering Caravan in Spain

Bit of a long shot, but I'll try anyway. Here in France, caravans are registered like a car and have their own unique number plates. A friend has his Bailey registered here and is thinking of moving to Spain to live. Does anyone know if the same procedure of separate registration applies in...

    Dethleffs Hob

A friend has a Dethleffs 'van (about 2004) with a 3 burner hob. The gas lights but won't stay alight even after holding the knob in for some time. It's the same for all three burners. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I imagine there must be some sort of thermocouple but is it just one for...

    Eurotunnel

As I understand it, the French authorities are only allowing passengers from the UK to France who can prove that they are, either, returning to their main residence or travelling for business purposes or for medical reasons. Here in France the current lockdown arrangements are in force (and far...
