    Rogue caravan-redress

Well,no luck there. Not going to give up as I still maintain that I have had a raw deal. How many faults are we supposed to put up with? Apologies if this is getting boring but I have the bit between my teeth now!

Bought A New Van Now in a state of Panic!!!.

Really sorry not to be able to help Brian but you have my sympathy as that,on the face of it,sounds serious. Some of the responses to my posting "Rogue caravan-redress"in this section may help you if it does turn out to be a major fault.

    Rogue caravan-redress

It's a Swift (Conqueror 540),but I purposely didn't name the manufacturer in my original posting.I didn't want the "Should have bought a Bailey/Lunar/Coachman/Elddis" argument to start! We still like Swifts despite our experience of this utterly appalling "lemon."We like their design more than...

    Rogue caravan-redress

Our 3 year old,top of the range, caravan which was bought new, has, over the time we have owned it,had 38 faults (electrical, water systems, structural etc-I have the details but there are just too many to post on here)and has just come back from its third year service with a 94% damp meter reading...

I am completely overpowered by all these technical responses! As an amateur everything I am totally impressed.......but my understanding has now dipped to below zero. .and I thought caravans should be user friendly!

Nordelletronica have not served me or Swift well, but I wouldn't have wished that upon them.

I have had two replacements on my 2008 Swift. They are unreliable and Swift have changed their supplier because of the number of warranty issues with these items.IF it is compatible,a Sargent unit would be better IMO.

Hyundai Santa Fe Premium versus Kia Sorento XK2

The Mazda's towball limit is 85 kg.Not ideal, but manageable.I don't think I will ever want a twin axle as we enjoy moving about a lot, including touring Europe. Not really after a Pegasus or Unicorn as I just don't like the way they look-Personal perspective of course. However,I could at some...

Hyundai Santa Fe Premium versus Kia Sorento XK2

I looked at the Mazda testerday.Very nice indeed. It moves to/near the top of my list. The only reservations relate to residuals and relatively low tow ball limit.BUT an excellent car,and a good solo drive. Thanks.

Hyundai Santa Fe Premium versus Kia Sorento XK2

Nice car but,I THINK, a bit near the margin in terms of 85% guideline (I'm an experienced caravanner but prefer belt and braces approach!). That sort of money takes me towards the Volvo XC60....which might be worth saving up for.

Hyundai Santa Fe Premium versus Kia Sorento XK2

Thanks Nigel. That explains it.Stability is all to me,so you have further confirmed my initial feelings. I do have a lighter 'van than that used in your test, but don't really want to take the risk given the price differential between the two cars. Quite sad though as I prefer the,albeit...

Hyundai Santa Fe Premium versus Kia Sorento XK2

I'm currently looking for a new towcar for my Conqueror 540 (MTPLM 1600kg).This will be a replacement for my 2006 Sorento XS which has been nothing less than superb.. Every review I have read suggests that the Santa Fe is a better bet,it being better to drive solo (the Sorento being described...

    Nordelettronica Charger Unit

Hi Kevin, Quite simply I don't think the NE unit is up to the job.Due to recurring problems mine was either replaced or reconditioned under warranty last year.I'm now getting the occasional "overvoltage" message on the control unit accompanied by all electrics shutting down with...

    Another Sorento question

It's true the Sorento has an "interesting" ride when driven solo. You just get used to it.In my book it's worth it because of its truly faultless towing ability. The ride is also significantly better when hitched to our 1600 mtplm caravan. We have just returned from a two month tour of Portugal and...
