    2009 kia sedonna

A couple of years ago I test drove the 'old' style Sedona; with the raised air intake on the bonnet. It was 6 months old with under 3,000 miles on the clock. It was a diesel engine with an automatic gearbox. We were not impressed, even driven solo, at it's sluggish performance and 'flat spot'...

    Never enough headroom!

Exceptional? No! In a demonstrable minority, Yes! It doesn't cheer me to hear of others with a similar ergonomic complaint, or in other cases, lack of leg-room, but it does cheer me to hear that others similar to me can fit into vehicles. Are these the 4x4 versions of the makes that you quote...

    T V's

I'm not sure what the current draw is from a cheapo set, but one of the claims from manufacturers of purpose built sets are their very low draw. Apparently the new Avtex 19" set only uses around 3 amps.

Towing with a ford tourneo minibus

Oh, forgot to mention............ you may fall foul of tachograph rules? In France you will require a tacho even if the vehicle is privately used for no commercial purposes if it is towing.

    Never enough headroom!

    I'm only 6'03", but here's the crunch.............. have a 29" inside leg :-( Long body I'm afraid.

    Never enough headroom!

It's that time where we are considering a replacement car for towing duties. I hate car hunting because you set your heart on a make or model and....wham! same old story. Never enough headroom. I currently drive an old 110 Defender. I test drove a series 2 Discovery and felt pleased that I had...

Towing with a ford tourneo minibus

I believe the categorys changed some years ago. I tow my twin axle with my 12-seat Land Rover but it is 20 yrs old, so gtandfather rights apply. However, I do keep to HGV speed limits ie 60mph on M-ways and dual carriageways and 50mph on unrestricted A-roads.

    T V's

I'm no expert, and I do agree that certain makes of tv made principally for the travel market eg caravans, motorhomes and hgv's etc appear to be, shall we say, on the dear side? Especially when compared against conventional tv's that have a 12v function. However, on another forum, it is...

New tow car needed but headroom is a big problem

Thank you everybody who has replied to my initial e-mail. In short (pun intended!) I'm 6'03" and a bit, but my legs stopped growing when I was young, so only have a 29" inside leg. :-( This makes finding a car to fit in extremely difficult and as for headrests? forget it! They're more like...

New tow car needed but headroom is a big problem

Due to age and mileage of our existing tow car, we have decided to upgrade to a newer vehicle. We are looking for a vehicle that can carry four persons, family labrador, plus usual caravanning kit. The important issues are that it must be capable of towing 1740kgs (MTPLM of our caravan) and MUST...

    Towball life?

Have just collected my new and first caravan from a dealership 200 miles away. The dealers supplied and fitted a new towball suitable for use with an Alko stabiliser. The towball is an 'anodised' colour all over. It is not black, neither is it covered in paint. The dealer assisted in hitching me...

    Anyone tow with a 110?

Does anybody on this forum tow a caravan with a 110" Land Rover? If so, what is its performance like when under load? I have a 1989 110" V8 that I used when I collected our new caravan. Brought it home empty albeit for a few necessities like battery, sleeping bags, aquaroll and wastemaster...
