    Rugs on Caravan floors

In trying to keep the carpet clean in my Bailey Ranger I have fitted rugs over the main areas where wear takes place. In the past I have found a double sided lattice based adhesive tape to fill the bill when applied to the rugs. However the tape has run-out and I can't find a supplier for a...

    Movers

My response to the question of movers is definatley YES. I had mine fitted 2years ago and don't regret it for a minute. Yes it is OK on hard standing and grass as well, but don't expect miracles, if the going is that tough then you might have to assist it with a push!. In my case it has enabled...

    Carver Crystal 2 Boiler.

Thanks John L, a relevemt point, as you say water that has been warmed and stored should not be used for drinking. I was thinking more of heating for boiling vegetables, but as you indicate caution should be the guide line.

    Awning erection

The only tip I can give that I have found to be of real use is to load the awning beading into the rail fron the front of the van, it makes it a hell of a lot easier than when you do it from the back as you dont have the problem of a vertical rise with a right angle turn at the top. Best of luck

    Carver Crystal 2 Boiler.

Although I've been caravanning for more years than I care to remember, I still have an question that someone may have the answer to or an opinion about. Having heated up water in the boiler with the immersion heater can the hot water be used for general cooking purposes?. It seems a bit of a...

    LUBRICATING AWNING RAIL

Hi Derek I don't want to teach granny to suck eggs but a good tip given to me is to load the awning into the rail from the front of the van. This avoids having to pull it up vertically and round the right angle bend if you start at the back of the van. I found it makes a hell of a difference...

    aks 1300

Hi Andrew I had a similar problem with my AKS 1300, ie.,noisy when making a turn or changing direction. I put a new pair of pads in and completely cured the problem. On reflection I could have just rubbed the surface of the pad over, but having bought new ones I fitted them. However if the old...

    Assistance/Opinions from Mondeo owners

Hi Mike Both me and my pal drive 2.0GLX mondeos and are completely satisfied with them. In France we averaged 30mpg on French 98 octane petrol and never had any problems with keeping up speed. I will agree that in a head wind you are going to find it hard going, but that applies to most tow...

1995 - Bailey Discovery SE Limousin - Urgent Help!

Paulhic's comment are very relevant regarding damp. Essential to get an INDEPENDANT damp check done. A friend of mine with a Discovery of that vintage had severe damp problems and but for his skill and effort the van could have been a write-off.

    POWRTOUCH

Comments on the Powrtouch isolating brass key pin are very relevant, the same thing happened to me!. Fortunately I was able to replace it but it does seem a weak point in an otherwise excellent product. I have had mine 2 years and have nothing but praise for it. Perhaps Powrtouch might have a...
