We too have been to to this stie several times, and agree with Bill D, it's a super site, within easy walking distance of town and there are so many picturesque villages to visit within easy reach, (eg Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold,and The Slaughters are well worth a visit, as...

Hi Ed Not been to this site, but it's in beautiful surroundings, although you have to use your own facilities as none on site. If it's peace and tranquility your after then a nice site to try is Irton House Farm at the top of Bassenthwaite Lake. It's a CL site with toilets and showers, and...

Hi Jo-Anne Been to this site a couple of times and going again this year, and just love it!! Pitches are a good size with the exception of a couple that are a bit tight lengthwise for our van (23'7". Access is no problem and toilet and shower block are all new and clean. Views are stunning...

Nice site in Lake District ?????

It's a couple of years since we stayed at the Quiet Site. I agree the location is good and the children's play area is good, the toilet/shower block was in dire need of an update, as was the bar. It was quite dingey and desperately needed a refurb last time we went.

family friendly site west cornwall with pool prefered

Looe caravan club site is great for kids. Not exactly west cornwall, but it has a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts and crazy golf - all at no extra charge. Looe town not too far away where there is lots of crabbing to be done around the harbour or in the rock pools at Hannifore beach. We've...

    the ashes in cumbria

Hi The majority of the A685 is excellent. There is just one narrow bit through Kirby Stephen town, although this is controlled by traffic lights and caravans go through without any problems at all. There is a bit of a climb out of the town and a long descent down the other side to...

    CC sites without toilet blocks

I agree with Alex about the wardens at Trewethett Farm. We were there last year, and although I didn't notice any atmosphere between the wardens, we found one warden in particular quite rude and offhand. She spoke to us as though we were idiots and had no patience whatsoever - it's not as...

    Receiving photos on Vodafone payg

Does everyone on Vodafone have the same problem downloading photos as me! If I receive one, I am only able to look at them by logging onto their website, which isn't always convenient, and have to wait until I can access the internet before retreiving it. Frustrating or what!!! I don't know of...

    moreton in marsh or Broadway

Hi Denise Not been to Broadway site, but been to Moreton a few times and like it. Such easy access into village and surrounding areas. Just a tip though - when you go, try to get a pitch as far away as possible from the busy road that runs along side it! First time we went we were right by...
