    Replacement carpets

    We had new carpets made, using our existing carpets as patterns. They were then given bound edges by the carpet retailer! There was no difference in the weight of the new carpets over the old ones!

    Bailey persuit front roller blind

    Ours needed doing, Pursuit 430/4 and the dealer came to our home to do it! It took him an hour as an awful lot needs removing to get at the mechanism!

    When I retired from teaching a few years ago the following was still stated in the a maths national curriculum ' Have an understanding of common imperial units' Also whenever a child was asked how heavy they were the reply would almost always be given in stones!

    Does fixing things yourself invalidate warranties?

    Have done several minor repairs to our Pursuit, whilst travelling. Each time I have phoned the dealer first and told them. No problems at all over warranty.

    Heating

    When we get to our next site tomorrow afternoon, we will set the heating on gas and electric. We, no, Lizzie will get the temperature up to 23 degrees, then turn the gas off. For the rest of our stay we will only use electric. When we get to the next site the procedure will be repeated! Why...

    New to caravan cooking - ideas please!

    We cook exactly the same as we would at home! Oven gets fully utilised. Electric griddle/hot plate is used in the awning. We no longer carry a Cadac. Could not afford to eat out every night as we are away for six months of the year
