    Errr... as this is a a caravan magazine forum were talking about towing a caravan, at speed on a road. When we get on site on sloping wet grass we may well need four wheel drive. The shogun is rated to tow 3500kg but I think you would be a fool to take a trailer of that weight on the road.

    Hi all Im looking at buying a 2006 jeep cherokee limited auto to replace my shogun. Im looking for any info on what they are like to run day to day and what they tow like. what do you tow with yours ? whats the real mpg figures ? I would appreciate your comments Regards Rich

    I agree. I have a 2002 lwb 3.2 auto and it is a great towcar handles anything you can throw at it, just a bit thirsty. You wont go far wrong with a shogun !!

    Suggestions needed for an economical 4x4 crewcab pickup for towing...

    I had a 06 navara aventura for 3 years and it was a great tow car. I pulled a Bailey senator twin axle max 1750kg and it was a really stable tug. Used to get 30 solo and 23 towing. I think they have a lot of trouble with flywheels and the rear axle but most cars have some faults. If you listened...
