    Privacy Room versus Awning

A follow-up. The Kampa awning I used was a single airbeam porch model, which uses the tension in the front guys to tension the awning roof. If the awning was fixed directly to the caravan rail there would be no problem, but because I had it attached to the Fiamma the tension started to pull the...

    Lost remote again?

I have one of those woven plastic zipped laundry bags with my towing mirrors, mover remote and switch key, a rod to keep brake pedal down when checking van lights, battery drill and connecting socket for winding the steadies, spirit level, tyre pressure gauge, the alko wheel lock case with keys...

    Privacy Room versus Awning

Although I would guess the design thinking was to hang their Sun Blockers and Privacy Rooms front panels from it! Their storm straps also clip into it. Worth noting that it's a 4mm channel so you might need a Kadar 6-4 converter although a number of awnings now come with both 4mm and 6mm beads

    Privacy Room versus Awning

    Privacy Room versus Awning

Guys, thanks for all your thoughts and advice. Initially my concern was how stable a Privacy Room would be in windy weather, but reading your posts I realised that the major concern is really how to dry the wind-out roof. (Do seem to see quite a lot of rain in the UK) The side panels could dry...

    Privacy Room versus Awning

I'm encouraged because that's how I intend to use mine. Presumably you had the Fiamma Storm Straps on during the storms. I'm assuming that the F45S awning / privacy room would be more stable because of the cantilevered support arms and the easy-clip side rafters.

    Privacy Room versus Awning

Hi Buckman. Do you have a reference for this recent post please. Advice from someone actually owning a Privacy Room would be a great help. You don't see many on site to ask their owners direct Thanks Dave

    Privacy Room versus Awning

Changing from a motorhome to a caravan I had a Fiamma F45s wind out awning/canopy fitted to my new Bailey Phoenix 440 caravan. I am widowed and camp alone and thought that this would easier to roll out when required rather than erect an awning. But now, camping in the winter months, a place...
