    jockey wheel

We have a problem with our Jockey wheel getting in the way when we have bicycles on the back of the car. Also the Jockey wheel has got damaged either on speed bumps or when we have gone onto ferries. Is it legal to take the Jockey wheel off while on the move?

We have just come back from holiday and cannot tune our tv back into DVB mode. Is there a problem with the tv or is it us. The DVB buttons do not appear to work. There is nothing in the manual to help. We have had the tv since February and have taken it away with us before. Have we bought...

    dirty caravans at dealers

We have been to dealers looking for a newer caravan. Broad lane leisure at Kenilworth is not one we would visit again. The caravans were dirty and smelly. Do they not employ a cleaner to make these caravans look and smell nice. One even had a dirty toilet. The ones they had in had quite a lot...

    Sites in Holland

This will be our third year in Holland. Roads are excellant. We went on a small site (SVR campings web site) which was like our CL sites. Harwich to Hook crossing 7hrs but you do get two meals included. A lot of people speak English. Make sure you have a polarity checking plug. Food is good...

    Which club (if any) ?

We have found the CC CL's are great. The only thing we have found is that at bank holidays when we get time off work it is worrying if we go to a site we have not been to before. Sometimes we have been the last caravan in and other caravaners have been inconsiderate and used all the space...

    Kids Sleeping in Awnings?

One way of making sure you can hear if anyone enters your awning at night is to put something in front of the doorways. We have always put a sun chair so it would make a noise. We keep the door of the caravan open too. You can also put a peg in the loop at the bottom of the zip opening. On a...

We are going on our third trip to Holland with our caravan this year. Have a look at SVR campings on line. It is in dutch but you can use translator. We paid 10 euros to join and they sent a list of sites. They are the equivalent to our 5 van sites. Basic but quiet. And they are a lot...

IF YOU ARE IN THE CARAVAN CLUB THERE IS A CL IN SOUTH ADMINSTON, PUDDLETOWN DORSET . THE OWNER IS FRIENDLY. SHE MAKES SURE THAT EVERYONE GETS A VIEW WHERE EVER POSSIBLE. THE LANE IS NARROW TO THE SITE BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM. THERE IS A NICE VIEW OVER THE FIELDS.

    puzzles

When is Practical Caravan going to put some crosswords, word searches, sudoku etc in their magazine for those of us who love to take the magazine on holiday. It would be a lovely addition. Not the sort they used to have though they were to mind boggling.

Thank you. It has been checked when serviced and there is no problem with damp. It is just age and movement.

    ripple on wall covering

We had some slight ripples in certain places around the walls and ceiling of our caravan. A friend told us to try and iron them out with a hair dryer. If you are careful this works wonderfully So I thought that someone might have the same problem and not know how to cure it.
