    It's easy to put up. 1 slide top into awning rail. 2 insert the diagonal poles. 3 insert the horizontal pole and clip awning to it. 4 ensure postion correct and all zips closed before pegging down. up in less than 10 mins

    Which fixed bunk tourer???

    We have a mendip Magnum 556, a dealer special based on the Compass Corona 556. We find it very good and the fixed bunks are more than adequate, we looked at the ranger and the beds were small.

    Choosing a layout

    Our current van is ideal for us. The compass corona 556. " singles at the front or a king size double, 2 fixed bunks at the back for the kids, and a side dinette (if you want to get up earlier than er indoors and have a cuppa) that converts to bunks to bring the kids friends along.

    I have a Compass 556 and use a Panorama XL porch awning. It is 2.8m wide and covers the window and door.

    The 85% is only a guideline. Check your car's specification for a maximum towing weight, this is the legal limit you cannot exceed. However if you are an inexperienced tower, the closer you get to the car's kerbweight, the less stable the unit could be.

    Take the bikes anyway, you can cycle from the Gowerton site all the way to Pembrey along the Millenium Coastal Park 98% off road.

    Sites in the Gower

    Depends what you want. Two spring to mind. 1 Three Cliffs has spectacular sea views and its own beach access (bit steep), highly recommended. 2 Bank farm has spectacular sea views and has close beach access, indoor pool and club house serving food. Again highly recommended.
