Tow Car - with Diesel demise

Apologies for the political slant, I can appreciate that. Aggressive responses, I appreciate you didn't see this but, as with all offense, I guess it is all in the receiver's view. I think it was the comments such as: "Look in your crystal ball and let us all know what you know beyond last...

Tow Car - with Diesel demise

I agree Craig. I thought it was closer to be fair ha ha. Not worried really, just looking ahead. Not be swapping for a year or two. I have a Kuga at the moment that looks very much like yours..... But thinking want bigger next time. I like the Edge but fallen out with Ford now and it's...

Tow Car - with Diesel demise

Thanks for the advice. I wish I still had the crystal ball, traded it in for my latest caravan! Why such aggression in your responses? To be honest, I thought it was sooner that combustion engines were to be outlawed in the UK. But I see it is 2040 now. I understood the government were...

Tow Car - with Diesel demise

I agree. I hear the air quality of the emissions coming out the back of a Euro 6 engine in London is cleaner than the air going in...... So, in essence, we are doing the place a favour...... Taxed, we should be paid to clean the place up!!!! Ha Ha. Sadly, I'm not sure the toff tory MP's will...

Tow Car - with Diesel demise

Just a thought, but with Diesel l, and petrol actually, days now numbered, what will be the caravan tow car of the, very near, future...... Especially for a heavy, 2tonne or so Caravan? I'd like a Mercedes GLS 350 Next, but it looks like buying Diesel will be like burning money with extra...

Hi, any opinions on Awning Rail protector strip? Worth it? Do you travel with them in? Any particular on? Where from? Thanks

new caravan on the way :)

Sadly, if it's new and ordered in/made to order, they sell what they're given....lemon or not. I don't think any dealer QA checks that thoroughly.....God knows Swift don't! A lot of items aren't obvious at first glance/inspection, but I think are the result of shoddy workmanship and cost/time...

I agree.....take your mum, the more tge merrier. Try not to let the excitement of your new van cloud your judgement, be critical. Small things can be fixed on the spot.

Kaznamy. We have the Sterling version of the same van. It's a great van, just Swift (including their other brands, Sterling et al) have shoddy workmanship. What I'd say is expect some issues, it's gonna happen, and hopefully the dealer will sort them (I think Glossop are good from what I...

I understand your position entirely, and pleased you have one of the "good/better ones". I guess we, the not so lucky ones, just feel aggrieved. Enjoy your vans. We do ours, once it's fixed, and I've got over the anger and annoyance at whatever ADDITIONAL fault I've found this time.

new caravan on the way :)

Hi, I can relate to your excitement. What you getting? However, be very wary, I took delivery of our brand new Sterling in July. There have been numerous "issues", see my thread comment of last night, many of which are down to very poor build quality by Swift, in my opinion....and others by...
