Thanks Hutch, Apparently there were a couple of hold ups on the M5 -J20 -22 area, and just as we were due to come off at 11A at around 4.15pm the traffic was being held ahead of us for another traffic incident so it was a crawl to the exit - once there it was plain sailing up to Birlip hill...
