Today we went to Penzance and strolled around, spending an enjoyable morning there before returning to base for a relaxing afternoon.
Just got back from Perranporth beach, where I scaled the dizzy heights of the rock with the flag on it to take a few snaps and a short video.
All in all a grand day out.

Currently sat in the Harbour Inn at Porthleven.
Weather is non compliant but that doesn’t stop us from getting out and about and tomorrow we will probably spend the day at the site as we leave for home on Saturday morning.
Added a few photos.

Thanks.
Did not get as far as Lands End, but back when I had my last BMW bike ( 1100R), I did go there from my home in West Oxon …. Just nipped out for some milk🤣🤣🤣.
I also rode up to the Lakes, over the Hardknott and Wrynose passes and back home in a day…. A mere 512 miles - happy days.

Back home safe and sound now after a long days drive, back up the A30 and then up the M5 to jct 11A followed by a further 1.15 hrs drive across country to home.
The M5 was very busy in places, and a bit breezy too but I kept the speed down as necessary.
The absolute pond life driving the 3 series Beemer estate who forced me to brake just so he could get in front of me at the end of a slip road on the M5 rather annoyed me, but apart from that and the traffic jam just 200yds from the exit at J11A which caused many drivers to blast up the hard shoulder, the drive went well.
The hardest part of all was getting the caravan on the drive as there were extra cars parked next door ( birthday party), but with some motor moving shenanigans I got there in the end.
Highlights of the holiday included visiting Padstow, Falmouth, St Mawes and the fabulous beach at Perranporth.
Hope you enjoyed the photos I shared.

Nothing was broken either which is the tenth wonder of my world🤣🤣🤣

Well done, a haphazard tow home is. Not what you want, esp with an awkward reverse onto the driveway.
Time to chill out , with a beer, wine, or nice coffee,

Thanks Hutch,

Apparently there were a couple of hold ups on the M5 -J20 -22 area, and just as we were due to come off at 11A at around 4.15pm the traffic was being held ahead of us for another traffic incident so it was a crawl to the exit - once there it was plain sailing up to Birlip hill and along the A436 to the A40, and homeward past Burford before winding our way through Witney and beyond to the village where we live....tiptoe around the corner in the close to be met with parked cars either side on the bend - just enough room to get through, and then separate car from caravan and use the motor mover to do a five point turn to get it back up on to the drive - 231 miles, and the last 100 metres was by far the most difficult!!

I put the headlights on for the journey home and found that this seemed to help keep the fridge cooler than on previous trips.

I will sleep well tonight that's for sure.

Cheers

Steve
