13 pin connector o ring size

Can anyone tell me the correct size for the O ring that fits on the body of a 13 pin Electrical connector - the one on ours has disappeared .

Thanks

The size of the O ring if indeed one should be fitted, will depend on the manufacture and specific model of connector fitted to your caravan. There must be dozens of different makes, and each could be different.

Given the Maypole 13 pin plug (see photo) can be bought for £6.68 from euro car parts , I think unless you have a source of free o rings , just buy a plug and swap out the O ring! . I just measured the one on a stock Maypole plug. the ID was 35 mm and section 1.45mm the closest match I got in nitrile was from ploymax my preferred supplier of O rings ( also available from simply bearings)at 35mm ID and 1.5mm section. Polymax have a minimum order of £10 , simply bearings will sell you two for the princely sum of £8.24 inc VAT and delivery. If it was me I would just do without , IMO it's more important that the back of the plug is sealed( where the bared copper wires meet the connectors) , which the maypole has a proper sealing gland , unlike the Sargent types which don't and will slowly rot the wires if not sprayed annually with a water dispersant ( repaired so many of these)
