    13w solar panel

If you use a solar panel, then obtain one which is half the amp hour of your battery. I.E. if you have a 105 amp hour battery you should be looking at a 50 Watt panel to provide enough charge to keep up with the drain on the battery. Steven

    going digital in the lakes

Go for a satellite reciever and a dish. Been there with the freeview and most of the time not very good. Also if you use your outfit in Northern Europe you can have the same tv as you have back home. Our setup worked as far south as Lake Orta, Italy. A decent dish and tripod can be had for around

    Yipee, just picked my Rangie

Quote "Rangies are such a rare sight these days around City Hall" What about all those Land Rover Discoveries used to ferry all the dignitaries around the various Olympic sites around London, (12 of them if I remember the video footage shown on the news). The Range Rovers used for escorting...

    pneumatic jockey wheel

I decided to fit a pnumatic jockey wheel to our outfit after having the mover fitted. What a waste of time. It kept going down, so I had it swapped. That did the same, had it swapped again. Lasted for a month untill I collected the caravan from storage to go away in it. Guess what? That too...

    Australian tax

I personally would scrap child benefit all together. If you want kids, you pay for them, don't expect anyone else to contribute towards the cost. I don't get help with the running costs of my car, moped. I choose to have these, so I have to fund them myself. Again, I don't get help with my...

    Directional Aerial Or Satellite

Satellite receiver every time. After messing about with an extra large aerial (more gain) and a freeview box, we decided to go the satellite receiver route and haven't looked back. Even worked in Bardolino (Lake Garda) Sky news and a few others. But at Orta San Giulio (Lake Orta), we could...

    TWIN AXLE MOVERS

Geoff. We have a Powertouch model 4 (I think) fitted to our Bessacarr ta. Only drives the front wheels, but is fine, even on a cobbled street and incline. I can't understand why you are having all those problems with it. Installer not up to the job? Thats the only thing I can think of! Steven.

    Privacy/dark windows

Quote "German vans are much more rigid, they don't flex as much when being towed, they incorporate bonded roofs (almost always strong enough to walk on)". Our 7 year old Bessacarr has the flexible mastic to seal all joints, does not leak AND I can walk on the roof as I have done on numerous...

What is this country coming to - a nation of savages

I'm running for PM at the next election. This is what my manifesto will be....... Bring back stocks to all town centres. A public humiliation of locking them in the stocks and pelted with rotten fruit, eggs, veggies, etc. Afterwards, just to make sure, six of the best with the birch, again in...

powrtouch mover, twin 4 or all wheel drive model 6

We have the Powertouch model 4 on our T/A Bessacarr. It moves it fine, just driving the front wheels only. I know you are supposed to fit them to the rear wheels, but we have a mule security device fitted. T/A caravans, even with all 4 wheels driven, won't turn on a sixpence like single axle...

Power Touch motor mover HELP NEEDED

If your caravan is a twin axle, it should be fitted to the rear wheels, at least that is what the installer who fitted ours told me. But on our caravan, it could not be fitted to the rear wheels, as we have a mule security device fitted. It still works fine with our caravan though (Bessacarr...

    How (s)low can you get?

As a child (one of 5) living on a main road in the 1960's, I asked my mother if any children were ever injured, hurt, involved in a accident with a motor vehicle, as far as she remembered, it never happened. That was back in the days when the main road was as busy then, as most small...

which motor mover would you recommend

Had a powertouch model 4 fitted to our twin axle Bessacarr. Only had it two months but no problems moving the unit, even though it is a heavy unit, it moves it up our steep side street with cobble stones.
