    Admin lost control

On opening Outlook this morning I had dozens of notifications from PC although I no longer frequent the forum due to one particulair poster. IMHO both moderators have done an excellent job in removing all the spam and have done so in the past. As someone has already said the Headline for the...

    nose weight

Considering that is the height printed in the Lunar owner's handbook, not sure how you can say Lunar have got it wrong? Please show me where I stated that Milenco have chosen a value outside a stipulated range. I now remember why I stayed away from this forum for so long as I find your reply...

    Top 100 Sites Guide 2016

We bought the magazine specifically for the 100 sites supplement so thanks for the heads up however quite surprised at your Community editor picking Stowford Meadows as a favourite site. We have used this site and just about every pitch requires blocks under the front steadies. The wifi was a...

    nose weight

The coupling height generally should be about 1' 5" or 440mm. I think this is what the Milenco gauge take into consideration when calibrating the gauge and why using a piece of wood and a bathroom scale may not be accurate. It is also a hassle to carry around bathroom scales to use when on site...

Consumer Rights Act & trade shows

Sorry I phrased that badly. Not covered by DSR in the CRA. Purchases would be regarded as buying on the dealer's premises therefore no right to cancel. Somehow I think they got it wrong, but need clarification as per regulations.

Consumer Rights Act & trade shows

I have to agree that such traders should not be in business. The dealership in question is a large dealership however we can name them except to think about a wandering home. The post is on the ukcampsite forum. As for only seeing a sample that is covered under Section 14 of the CRA so cannot...

Consumer Rights Act & trade shows

Normally the contract is signed between the consumer and the dealer who is the supplier and thsi will probably be on the manufacturer's stand at the NEC. As the DSR are obsolete and have been replaced by the CRA 2015, where does that leave the consumer if purchasing at a trade show ? Is...

Consumer Rights Act & trade shows

Unfortunately none of the above relates to a purchase at a trade show especially as the Distance Selling Regulations have been superceded by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The regulations do make reference to the trade shows, but are not very clear. Have you studied the CRA 2015? Yes the 10%...

Consumer Rights Act & trade shows

On page 117 of the latest PC magazine there is an article about your rights when purchasing however it only touches lightly on the subject as the actual legislarion is of course quite confusing. On numerous caravan forums people have posted that at a trade show like the NEC on the spur of the...

What's happening at the February NEC show?

If you are going to invest in a nose guage, get a decent one like the Milenco calibrated noseweight gauge which generally costs around £30. It is worth its weight in gold. We use ours regularly to make sure we do not exceed the maximum loading of 100kg for the ALKO hitch.

What's happening at the February NEC show?

That is correct however you need to get to them first and they are generally on the upper level by the entrance so still quite a slog from the disabled car park to the entrance. This is why we now take my own instead of hiring one at the venue. :cheer:

What's happening at the February NEC show?

The catch however is if you buy the tickets Online you get a normal discount for advance booking. If you buy on arrival at the NEC you get the discount, but it is the same price as if buying in advance. The other issue is aprking for disabled. If we did nto have my mobility scooter with me...

What's happening at the February NEC show?

How can it be free if you are paying £14 to enter? :cheer:
