    Fenwicks Windowise.

Doug I can recommend Fenwicks Windowise. I keep a bottle in the van and polish out any fine scratches as they occur. It can take some time to get rid of deeper scratches but if you persevere you can get the windows looking new again. My advice is to keep on top of any scratches.

    Electric Hook Ups

Prof. All your calculations are, of course, correct, however there is one important part missing, namely diversity. When calculating the maximum load a facility, say a house, or office block, or caravan site, you do not obtain a supply capacity of the total potential load i.e. everything...

    Advice on awning size

Hi guys The Isabella size is 1015, Checked it on their website. I went to the caravan over the weekend and measured the A - A size, not the easiest thing to do, it was actually 1017. Anyway took the plunge today and collected an Isabella Commodore concept. Got a good deal on it and traded in...

    Advice on awning size

Hi All I’ve just been offered a great deal on an Isabella full awning. According to The handbook, the caravan, a Swift Challenger 570 (2010) has an “A” – “A” measurement of 1020. The awning I’ve been offered is 1015 and Isabella’s web site recommends 1025. As the caravan size is right in the...

    Close weave awning groundsheet

Otherclive I have used a Bolon carpet on hardstandings for just over a year, (probably about 40 nights) after about six months it was showing signs of ware so I bought a cheap white pvc tarpaulin to put underneath it. The tarpaulin cost under £10. I lay that out to erect the awning then put...

    Rotary washing lines

Do you really have to air your washing (dirty or clean) in public! I’m sure the last thing other people on site would want to see are Mr & Mrs butlers smalls blowing in the breeze!

    bailey withdrawn 10 year guarantee

Nothing is free. Warranties are a cost to the manufactures, this cost is built in to the purchase cost. If the manufacture gets their sums wrong then either the purchase cost goes up or the warranty comes down.

    Dealers and Ann Widdecombes bum

Thanks meals on wheels, walking through treacle is exactly what it feels like. Emmerson, you’ve missed the point completely. We are very happy with the new caravan, as I said with the exception of the alarm there have only been minor niggles that needed repair. I am also very happy with the...

    Dealers and Ann Widdecombes bum

They must have came marauding from the far North in the distant past and set up a caravan dealership in the northwest of England with the soul aim of blighting the lives of us Sassenachs. I’ll try to keep this a brief story of our experience with a dealer since taking the plunge and ordering...

    A new BBQ for summer

Hi Surfer Yes it does sit on the ground and I’m told the base stays cool enough to move about when cooking, so it wont damage the grass, which is a big plus. Have a look here http://www.planetbarbecue.co.uk/sfcharcoalbbq3.html There is a small kettle BBQ with folding legs for £25.

    A new BBQ for summer

I’m thinking of investing in a Cobb BBQ this year and was wondering if anyone here has got any experience / views on them. I know a lot of people use a CADAC but I fancy the Cobb because its portable so it can be used on picnics, on the beach etc, a also prefer the taste of food cooked on a...

    Working from sites.

After some childhood holidays in caravans with my parents my first experience of caravanning was whilst working away from home. Four of us were sent from the Manchester area to work on a project at Culham near Oxford. We were meant to be there for about six months. After about a month we all...

    Cover for traveling

Hi. I talked to the guys from Pro Tec at the recent Manchester show. The said they only do a half front cover for Bailey caravans. They said they have not found a way of securing them on Swifts without them flapping about and causing damage.
