Hi Hutch Plan is to hopefully get it to the repairers, ask them what they think and contact Alko when I get home, no idea when the red light started flashing, but assume the LED will only need a miniscule amount of power to set it off, still wondering whether it has been affected by the heat...

We have done Caen return, it is about 11 oclock at night departure, but further to drive on French side, we use the St Malo return crossing, leaves about 8 ish in the evening gets in to Portsmouth about 7.30 am, downside is that it doesen't run every day, so need to check your dates, Brittany...

Why not drive to Portsmouth during the day, catch the overnight ferry to St Malo, gets in at approx 7.30 am and drive to Rochelle in the day?

We ditched RAC several years ago, for similar reasons, Green Flag have not been perfect by any means, but that has been without the caravan,a lot seems to depend on the local contractor and individual drivers attitudes. Hopefully we won't need to find out how good or bad they are in the future...
