£15,000 to spend on a towcar what would you buy?

We are updating our towcar this year but are in no hurry. Just wondered what car you fellow members would buy with that sort of money.
Thanks for any replies in advance.

quite simply, none i,d go more along the lines of lease hiring a vehicle.A lot less hassle especially when modern vehicles are involved.

If you're not concerned aboput the age of car, I'd spend a couple or three grand on the best classic Range Rover you can find, then spend the rest on holidays!
I'm not joking. It's what we've done for the last twenty years, and we still haven't spent anything like £15,000.

i bought something off ebay this week and we got talking about caravans an he said a kia sedona was the best car he had used to tow with

Wendy
What caravan do you currently tow and are you likely to buy a bigger one in the foreseeable future?
I have a Sorento but only because in our budget it was the best for tugging the Wyoming.
If I had something smaller then I might be tempted with the Nissan X Trail. It seems to get some good press lately.

Of course I am prejudiced but your choice shouldn't be limited to a 4x4. Volvos are still good motors.

Change the company when it's due.

My hubby has got over 70,000 on a 59 plate 2 years old sept I think that's why he leases and the all in package .
But the lease company charge us for monthly for the first two years I think could be one...for having a tow bar fitted.
Don't know who hubby uses but could find out and post it.....
Our problem now is if his contract changes at work in the future as it stands a good chance of doing.
They do compulsory company car, which means more money the that government pot.....

Due to the financial situation many businesses are finding themselves in, instead of renewing my car as in the past, I'm just in the process of buying the car my company has leased for the past 3 years. It was my suggestion, because not only is it more cost effective all round but I'm delighted with the car and the prospect of hanging on to it for a few more years.

It's a Feb 2008 Volvo V70 d5 SE Lux with 52,000 on the clock and in immaculate nick. They want £13,250 for it which I'm happy with.

So that should give you an indication of what you could get a Volvo for if that was a choice.
