Hi Arthur,

The sat dish does not need a 12 volt connection if that is what you mean, can you be a bit more specific in what you need the 12 volt connection for.

Most vans have a 12V supply and aerial connection in this position anyway. If not and your fuse box is under the seats at the front of the van this would be the best place to take it from and it would be best to take the feed from the existing fuse for 12V ancillaries.

Hi Arthur,

I assume from your last post you have a 12 volt TV, do you have a Pace 1000 12 volt sky digibox as well or do you have a freeview box.

I would take a lead direct from the leisure battery via an in line fuse for both the +ve and -ve

Use fairly heavy auto cable (say 35amp) to avoid voltage drop over the cable length which affects TVs a lot

I have had to do this on a few vans as often the factory fitted cable is too thin etc

Hi John,

Thanks very much.

Most helpful regarding the cable thickness as I am a complete novice in these matters

Greetings John G

Can't help but wonder why you recommend a fuse in both the poss andd neg cables.
