12S wiring modification

Hi All,

Following on from the recent mailing about modifying the 12s wiring as suggested by Towital ie linking the spare no 5 pin to the 7 pin therebye doubling the contact area, could this be done by linking the 3 pin to the 7 pin instead. To me it seems like the same thing, or is it against some regulation?

On the car side the black and white (3 & 7) are connected together at the earth point, so why not on the van side of the 12S?

Clive, there is no technical reason that you can't do what you say. The reason for using pin 5 and not 3, and taking pin 5 seperately to chassis, is that you have left pin 3 for battery charging only ( whilst the engine is running).
