i want to charge a battery in my boot can i run a plug from the s socket using the earth pin and pin 6 pin 2 is not used as its a new car or do i run a wire into boot from relay taking it off the wire that goes to the alternator purple wire on my relaythanks for any replys please dont be to technical as simple as possible is best. basically i want to know will the feed to pin 6 charge a battery in my boot

David, the brief answer is yes, pin 6(+) and pin 7 (-)will charge the battery.

make sure the batt is secured and the area vented. personally i use my van charger to charge the batt.just think how many miles to drive to charge it.

ps make sure its fused at the boot batt to.
