I have tried a few searches but can not find out what type of bulbs (GU10 or MR16) are used in the Zoe Eyeball reading lights used in Explorer group vans.

We will not be using the van for 2 weeks now and it is in the storage yard.

I am trying to find out because Lidl are doing 12V LED replacement bulbs next Monday for £3.99.

Thanks in advance (hopefully my information will be useful too!)

I don't know which lamp is fitted in your van, but it's more than likely a 35mm MR11, which has 2 small pins. My van (Coachman Amara 560/6) has eyeball lights which are 35mm. I've just replaced the lamps with LED versions from QVS Electrical @

Alan, thanks for the info. I have an amara 500/5 and my daughter broke a bulb above her bunk at the weekend. I was always concerned by how hot the original bulbs get so these led's will be great, didn't know they existed. Thanks...

My Lunar came from the factory with the wrong wattage bulbs fitted and the light fittings melted. I think you should have no more than 10 watts. The low level light on an older van caused the dogs blanket to start to smoulder as he had dragged it against the light fitting. Only took a few minutes to start.

One of the main reasons I was looking at changing to LEDs was because they are so efficient that they produce little or no heat, a 10W halogen replacement only needs a 1 or 2 watt LED.

Should help the battery last a little longer on rallies.

I am only looking to change 2 as the others are not used often enough to warrant changing
