16 amp fuse ....1984 sterckman 340 (folder)

Hi was wondering if there is still anywhere that i can get a 16 map fuse , have been phoning round but they give me the impression that they are not made anymore?? it looks like a normal 13 amp fuse in a three pin plug,BUT it is a lot fatter and slightly longer and is marked 16amp in black lettering...

Any help much apprecciated.......andy

Andy,

You will need to have the exact length and diameter of the fuse, and try one of the electronic supplies companies like Maplin, RS Components, or Farnell.

I think the type of fuse is a HRC - which you can certainly get in a 15A rating.

When the Farnell web-site is back after their upgrade, try them first.

Andrew this sounds like a bS 1361 fuse, easily avalible from an electrical wholesalers, City electrical factors,Newey and eyres,Edmundsons etc, or even B&Q ask for a Wylex type fuse there. Size is approx 10mm x 30 mm long
