One word of caution

We have a 12V 19" widescreen LCD TV from a different manufacturer and are finding that the TV needs a fully charged battery to get a picture - as soon as the voltage drops a little the picture goes.

It may be just our particular make but might be worth checking out with these larger LCD TVs while you are still in the "return" period.

Do not forget they are not advertised as 12V TVs so if you try to return them later under the warranty they may refuse as there is nothing wrong with it as advertised.

Shame about your DVD going wrong so many times, I suppose it must be a bad batch. I've had a 17" DMTech for three years and I can't fault it in any respect, their actually made by Panasonic I've been told.

I had a voltage problem with the LCD TV but it was down to voltage drop through the thin cable as fitted by the caravan manufacturer

Fitting heavier cable cured it or you can get a voltage stabiliser from Leisure Power etc

Thanks John - you are probably right.

I was assuming the TV screen was sensitive to voltage change because of its size. That could still be the case and dropping volts on the supply cables would make it worse.

I will take a meter next time I take the TV
