If it had been yellow I would have been straight on it, because the yellow used in many cheap non potable/food grade products is made with highly hazardous cadmium, and is difficult to fix in plastics so does leach out into water.

However the picture is green and the stated material is Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene ABS which is insoluble in water. BUT I'm not sure I fully trust the types of products made cheaply in china to contain what they say on the packet.

Mine's brass, which seemed like a good idea at the time for longevity, (few years back) 'til you find the internals are steel and they rust up! So plastic a good idea if tough enough?
