hi all

first time out in our 2000 coachman amara 520/4 on tuesday and i have just checked the tyre pressures which are 35 psi seems a little low to me

i have looked in the manual but it says nothing regarding this issue

the tyres them selves are rated at 55 psi

does anybody know the pressure my tyres should be

i want to get it right as i had a major snake last year with my corniche which caused £1800 worth of damage to my car new rear suspension, wheel and towbar

scared the life out of me so dont want to revisit that situation again

any help would be appreciated

Lee, to calculate your tyre pressure, multiply the caravan weight by the maximum tyre pressure(as stated on the sidewall), and divide by the tyre's maximum loading(also stated on the sidewall) times two if single axle, and times four if double axle ( ie .number of tyres)

eg. C'van weight 1400 kgs

Max Tyre Pressure 66 psi

Max Tyre Load 775 kg (x 2 if single axle, X 4 if double axle)

Correct pressure = 60 psi
