2011 Sterling

Hi folks. Considering a Sterling Elite Diamond. Have heard rumours about 2011 models having significant damp problems? Can anyone shed any light on this, and whether it was resolved by 2012. we have an older but good van at present, but are hoping to upgrade later this year, but it wouldn't be changed again for quite a while, so has to be right.

Many Thanks

Swift did have a problem with damp caravans about that time but most were dealt with under the warranty. I would have thought that if this had a problem it would have to have been dealt with by now or it would have very severe damp problems which would show up easily if tested. If you are worried then you could ask if it had damp problems and for evidence that these had been rectified.
If it did not and shows no sign then given the age I would have thought it was not one of the problem caravans and is no more likely to develop damp problems than anything else.

WE Have a 2010 Sterling Elite Searcher we have had no damp problems what so ever. Our Mobile Service Engineer had said to us the Elite Range arent a damp problem, but yes Swift did have damp issues .Take a damp meter with you and check while you are mulling it over ..
Sir Roger
