Hello all.
I have a 2016 Elddis Cusader Mistral with a Truma water pump that goes in the Aqua roll.
Everything works fine but when we run a tap or flush the toilet the water pump starts fine but won’t switch off.
The pump just then keeps on running. Can then only be switched off by turning it off at the control panel.
No water leaks in or outside of van.
Please help….

I thought that the 2016 Elddis used a Whale system and not Truma? Sometimes you can get away with adjusting the pressure switch which hides the issue, but if it has worked okay up to now then the filters in the pressure switch probably need to be cleaned. This involves removing the pressure switch, cleaning the filters, fitting them back in and everything should be okay. A simple job.

Like Buckman I thought the Crusaders had an on board water tank and a whale on board pump. The part that goes into the aquaroll looks a bit like a pump but is a filter only.
can the OP send a photo please?

Where abouts would the pressure switch be located ?
Does your caravan have an onboard tank? The pressure switch is normally located near the onboard tank. If not is normally in the vicinity of the hot water boiler under the front offiside seat. It looks like this.

It’s defo a pump in the aqua roll. I can hear and feel it buzzing away. The caravan also has the Alde heating system fitted

When there is an issue with the pressure switch, the water pump thinks that the system still requires more water as it has not reached the correct pressure for the pump to switch off. The issue is with the pressure switch and not the pump. The pump is controlled by the pressure switch.

Google ‘whale water pressure adjustment’ where there is a printable A4 instruction sheet handy to keep in the van as will need tweaking occasionally,

Unless the filters are cleaned first no much point in adjusting the pump. If the pump has always been okay up to this point more than likely it is the filters. Once they are cleaned then I would agree with adjusting the pressure switch. Ask me how I know. LOL!

The OP has a Truma pump. Are the pressure switch instructions the same?
We had a 2016 Elddis and they were fitted with the Whale system which is why I queried whether it was a Whale or Truma. Admittedly our caravan was a higher spec, but it may be unusual for caravans of the same brand and year to have different water systems. However either way doubt if the pump is at fault. :)

My 2016 Mistral has the Whale system with two pressure switches one under the front seat next to the water heater and the other under the double bed next to the on board tank.
