Selling my caravan on anumber of caravan websites, but not ebay.
I have had an enquiry from "caravansforsale.co.uk" a person named Sarah.
Anyway they
do not want to see the caravan in the flesh,
ask for more pictures despite there being 8 on the advert,
want to pay using paypal

Here is a copy of the last email

How about 10000 and I am regrettably out of town and not coming
back anytime soon, that is why I asked for more pictures and once payment has
been confirmed,I will have a shipping company come for the pickup

Here is my reply

I would accept £10000 but i would not let it be
released until it has be seen first, as it is a lot of money to
spend.

With pleasure i will send more pictures, what do
you want on them, as most things are covered in the adverts photos
?

Out of interest would the caravan be going out of
the country, my last one apparently ended up in Czechoslovakia !!!

I will gladly speak with you over the
phone.
My telephone number was attached.

Does anyone else feel uneasy ?

Sounds like a scam! They build more robust caravans in South Africa at less cost than here in Britain. I doubt very much if our caravans would stand up to rigours of the roads in SA and I am talking from experience! I wonder if she can speak Afrikaans? Afrikaans for caravan is "Woonwa".

Greetings,

The easy? way of forcing their hand is to demand cash. Pure and simple.
If they have the means to arrange for transportation, they have the means to arrange a cash payment.

Oh! yes I forgot. It's a Scam

Yep classic scam thats going around also seen on car sale websites, best thing to do is not give an email address in the advert only use a phone or use the numbers they supply to protect your own.
I think the way it works is they pay you extra to pay the collection company, you pay the collection company before they arrive as you think you have the cash then they either dont turn up or take it all then the funds are withdrawn ?? The problem with paypal they can stop the payment due to fraud a few days after.
Good old cash or bank transfer on the day, once they have paid then transfer straight away to another account so if they try to retreive the monies they cant.
Pleased its now sold.
