hi all,

i dont think for one minute i will recieve any replies to this topic ,but if it can be arranged for later in the year is there anyone out there who fancies a weekend devoted to4x4s mpvs and all other vehicles responsible for the destruction of this country ,i say this country as it would appear its only the uk who seem to be entirly responsible for the climatic change facing us .I have never been to or organised any type of rally ,i do not intend to make any political statement i have no hidden agenda but why should 4x4s and mpv owners be persecuted by this and any future goverments for keeping a very

lucrative leisure market( of which the chancellor has no problems taking away tax, green or otherwise)exclusively for those that no matter what restrictions or monetary obstacles are put before them could and would never prevent them from doing the damage we are all assumed guilty off .In ending this i just want to see a show of solidarity of caravaners camper vans mpv and 4x4 owners ,surely 10,000 voices are better than 1. jeremey clarkeson and jeremey vine have their media what do we have.

thanks for reading ,so are you interested ?

Hi Jim

I have a request, please could this be organised to happen before 1st November?

It will give us a try with our AT's and then I could have a go at driving.

Thank you

hi lolly

jim here tried to get a 4x4 meet together earlier last week, didnt get the response i was looking 4.Strange, thought that 4x4 owners mpvs and the like would have been interested in

getting together and exchanging ideas and views. It would appear that the british camping and caravaning fraternity are more than happy to accept and pay whatever the goverment of the day is demanding.Surely now is the time for us to unite and and say enough is enough,we pay our taxes and we expect a little more respect for the amount of revenue we bring into this once beautiful country of ours.

jim

ps sorry to sound so political

That's right, plan a 4x4 meet, now that after 12 years we don't have one. Sometimes this world just isn't fair.

I'm off to buy an extra pair of wellies and a 4x4 sticker for my Leganza, see who needs a 4x4 now!

Want one!

Jim , if you think a few caravanners going away for a weekend is going to make any difference I'm afraid you are sadly mistaken.

As for the lack of response showing the apathy of the country, how do you come to that conclusion. Maybe some of us just have more interesting things to do ;O)

Brian.

Hi,

We are the proud owners of a Landrover Discovery 4 X 4 and through choice would never return to towing with a car. The thoughts of a burning clutch, wheel spinning, increase in water temp on inclines e.t.c. depresses me!

Depending on location and dates we would consider joining you. We too are fed up with the continual bad press that 4 X 4 drivers get.

Good luck

have been to a meet at Gaydon and as well as staying in field you can take your 4x4 around parts of the Land Rover test track. The field is basic with water and toilets ,no power but going round the track is good, they even have a place where they pressure wash the mess off over what looks like a filter and recycling unit for the water. Also a car museum on site, think it was

YER MAN GO 4X4 IT, sorry for shouting but all this anti this anti that makes my blood boil.

We have a 4x4 and have had eco cars before but the 4x4 is beter for what we need.

So plse put us down for the meet, caravan 4x4 will come and suport any raly that will get the true reason we use them published.

Invite jery and show him how to drive with a caravan on tow, not like the lark they did on tv, jest showed them up as idiots they are.

Plus it would be good for 4x4's to get together and have a good old time together then we may not feel so alone.

May even get the Mag to do a write up, showing us as the good guys lolllllll.
