A bit of light entertainment or possibly the lack

Hi to you all out there. I have just looked in on a forum that I have no ability to post replies on,I have been quarantined and indeed I believe that it was as good as ordered by a certain manufacturer that I should be terminated. There is a new thread posted on the forum earlier today that was titled - No Elddis Posts For 4 Days!
The last reply posted was by a moderator and the 5th post was also by a moderator,I believe that they were a bit tongue in cheek considering some of the recent events on that forum.
The main contributors (some 20+) to the forum in general have gone AWOL because of the over moderation and the fact that anything other than sweet words of praise and recommendation either get savagely culled/butchered or locked and or totally removed.
My point being that when issues are reported and the lack of support by firstly the dealers and then the adamant denial by the manufacturers as to the issues the main looses are the caravan buyers - you and I alike.
What has really happened to provable, factual and honest reporting of the findings and experiences of/by we the real and often severely and financially disadvantaged caravan buying public?
I like many I'm sure are of the understanding with the changes in Defamation Act 2013 that the naming and shaming of manufacturers, businesses and services was no longer an issue for the forums and social media sites and that the onus was totally on the poster to substantiate what was being put into print if the allegedly aggrieved party saw fit to pursue.
Only an absolute fool would dare to publish material that was not totally and irrefutably correct.
In a great many cases of late there have been individuals that have had the first whiffs/sniffs of a company going the way many have gone before. Here in the North West we have recently had two caravan/leisure related companies ceased trading and have taken peoples monies simply because of the inability to warn ahead of the 'Sink Hole' developing.
One of these companies has reportedly ceased trading at-least 4times to-date and again continues but in a brand new location. I await with bated breath their next episode of 'Take the punter for a ride'.

Regardless of changes in legislation, it is the forum owners decisions and rules about what can and cannot be posted which prevail and this site will NOT ever allow Naming and Shaming .
Neither will it allow unsubstantiated reports and long winded attempts to circumvent the rules, such as Rule 4.

If any users wish to be able to Name and Shame, or go on ad infinitum about problems with their older caravans which has been covered to the point of boredom, then they should set up their own website with their own set of rules, or non rules.

The criteria that administrators of various caravan internet forums use to apply their rules is something that you should discuss them, we don't discuss the workings of other forums here and we wouldn't appreciate being discussed in this way on other caravan forums.
If your account on another forum has been suspended I suggest that you take the matter up with the administrators or moderators of that particular forum, all future references to how other caravan forums apply their own rules on their own forums will be deleted from our message boards.
