Been a member for a long while but not posted very much as Landies, their owners and the club newsletter keep me soooo busy.
The forum software is probably the worst I have ever used!
It logs me out after every session, is extremely basic and not user friendly. Even the free boards such as Invision and phpBB are miles better than this. Don't get me wrong it does what it says on the tin but there is far better out there and I feel a concern such as Haymarket Pub' could do a lot better for their members.
I haven't noticed much heavy-handed moderating on here or the need for it TBH, although it's surprising how brave a 6 stone weakling can be from behind the relative security of his firewalled internet connection. Moderating is a fine balance between the free and easy running of the forum and what is common decency, with a drop of admonishment thrown in where really necessary. I ought to know as I am a Mod' on 3 Landy forums.
Please guys find a decent board, the members deserve it, judging by what I've seen on here.
