Hi,

Not looking for a site but somewhere to pull up for a few hours ?

We are travelling up to Oban area from the midlands and my intent is to run overnight on Friday night, get around Glasgow by early morning on Saturday (via M8 & Erskine bridge)and then pull up somewhere for three hours or so (for a kip) before tackling the rest of the journey.

Does anyone know the area well enough to reccomend a good layby or stopping point (you usually see them as you go past - when its too late)?

Travelling A82 to Tarbet / A83 to Inveraray

Any ideas that help me find somewhere appreciated !

re A82 just past Luss there is a fine big lay by raised off main carriageway will do you fine for a few hours, plenty others though before you get to Tarbet

just remembered another big lay by on A82 not far from Duck Bay Marina, mile or so after end of dual carriageway you will see signs for Carrick Golf Course and Club, lay by is the next bend, access off the road and loads of room as well, and then only about 2 hours to go to Oban, maybe less if traffic light

hope this helps
