Hi y'all,

Just a quick message to formally introduce myself. I have had the luck to be helped out by a few of you over the last few days whilst I manically tried to induct myself into this crazy new world of tow bars, tyres and damp! Lol.

I haven't got an 'outfit' to share with you yet. I'm very new to all this and cautiously looking. I'm hoping to absorb all your advice and fit myself out with something just right when it comes along in its own good time (hopefully this side of the summer!). Basically I am looking for a dinky super light weight caravan for spur of the moment weekends away with my OH and dog. Happy times.

Looking forward to chatting with you

Hello and welcome to the forum :)
There's lots of good advice on this website from Practical Caravan experts and the everyday experts on the forum.
John Wickersham offers tips on buying pre-owned tourers on the Caravan Channel and there's lots of information on what to watch out for in the Caravan Buyers Guide.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum of what is possibly the most contagious way of relaxing there is.
Don't just go for the odd weekends, get out there for a week and find out how friendly most of us are.

There are a plethora of sites to suit all budgets and families from the 5 van CL to the mega huge all encompassing family sites.

Best Wishes,

Sir Brian of Stevenage.

Welcome to the forum, I know where you are coming from just spent three month helping friends find their first ever caravan, they wanted something similar to yourself as they only have smallish car, budget was tight and as upgrading from tent to caravan we found a lovely little to birth 1st trip out was Easter, second the Reader Rally at begining of May and am happy to say they have faling in love with caravanning and have been out again since. Like you they wanted something that they could just hitch up and go...... Good luck with your search have fun and look forward to hearing all about your van in the future
