A tale of two sites

We've just returned from three and a half sunny weeks in France. The first site we stayed at was Camping Le Capeyrou in Beynac et Cazenac on the Dordogne. Fantastic. Green, clean, friendly, beautifully situated, super pitches, fantastic pool - just wonderful. All for less than twenty quid a night.

The second site was camping Le Boucanet in Le Grau du Roi on the Med near Montpellier. Big, scruffy, impersonal, many dreadful pitches, dusty beyond words and hideously expensive at over £30 per night. Lovely pool complex however,(especially out of season).

Staying in the Dordogne next year!

Hi. We have friends who are currently on the site at beynac and go there quite often. They rate it as one of the nicest they have ever been on. Pity it does not take camping cheques. Andrew

We have stayed at Boucanet a couple of times. Nice location but some of the pitches are extremely sandy and we got stuck on one. Re the price, I thought they accepted Camping Cheques?
