Hi BB
We considered buying one of these but opted instead for the n/s fixed bed Abbey 620 Vogue which as a dealer special had the same 'extras' (wet locker, external gas BBQ point, extra 240v sockets and aerial point) as the Speccy.
We didn't opt for the island bed because the central washroom and shower cubicle of the 535 is smaller than the end washroom and generously sized shower cubicle in the 620. We are both short in stature so the nearside fixed bed isn't a problem for us but I can see the attraction of the island bed.
If your chosen site has adequate shower and toilet facilities the lack of space in the onboard shower shouldn't be a problem for you and this model would be an ideal seasonal caravan for you. We read horror stories on various forums but our Abbey which is used regularly all year round on sites and on rally fields is as good as the day that we bought it, the build quality is really good.
I don't know how much you want to spend but there looks to be a nice 2008 model with Alde heating and leather seats + accessories, motor mover and awning
