Abbey Vogue 520 Shower

I have a 2008 Abbey Vogue 520, which I have had since new (10 months now). The shower overflows onto the floor, the dealer said that Abbey told them to drill more holes in the door channel. This has been done twice and looks atrocious (Heath Robinson comes to mind). Problem still exists, not enough room for any more holes! Also shower door rubs on door fram whilst travelling leaving a white deposit and grooves in the door. The dealer says that Abbey says this is not a problem and won't do anything about it. Any advice appreciated.

I understand from a previous thread a while ago that the door leak was a known problem and there was a fix for it.

If the door is getting damaged just by travelling then it needs looking at under waranty. Dont take what the dealer says as gospel. Put your problems in writing giving them a time limit to sort the problem, and copy Swift. Im sure they will then take your problem serious.

If you get no answer from them write to them rejecting the van as it has an inherant fault, and it is not fit for porpose.

Remember you waranty is with the dealer and not Swift.

Good luck

Kevin

Hi, our Abbey is two years old with the older magnetic type door. We ahd this same problem. It was caused by the door being too short so that shower water escaped underneath. I glued clear plastic tubing along the bottom frame which made up the difference and stopped the leak.

Hope this helps
